Make up is something I’ve always been interested in. So I have decided to make a post dedicated to my every day go to makeup look. I do this look for so many occasions, whether it’s running errands or a nice brunch. It’s super easy to do and takes me no time at all. See below for what I use and how I use it:

Firstly, I start off with the base of my make up, which is my face. I begin with my Benefit Porefessional as my primer base. I use the Matte rescue, as my skin is combination or more too the oiler side. So I find this primer helps to make my foundation last longer and stay matte. I then move onto my foundation, which recently I have been using the Too Faced Born This Way foundation, I apply this product with either a beauty blender or my Sigma F80 Flat Top. Then for my Concealer I usually mix NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer with my MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer. I use my concealer to both brighten my under eyes, as well as cover any discolouration or blemishes on my skin, this concealer is defiantly full coverage and a little goes a long way. To then set my foundation and concealer in place, I use the MAC Studio Fix Pressed Powder which can also act as a foundation on it’s own if you would prefer a lighter coverage. It’s great because it sets my foundation in place all day and I bring it on the go to top up my makeup through out the day.

Next I move onto my eyes, I prime my eyelids with the MAC Paint Pot in soft ochre, this helps to keep whatever you put on your eyelids stay in place longer. I then use either one of my favourite palettes, The Too Faced Chocolate Bar or the Tartelette Tease Palette these are both very neutral palettes and have great pigmentation to create very versatile looks. If the occasion I’m going on is in the evening or is a fancier dress than I will do a winged eyeliner. My all time favourite eyeliner, which I’ve actually just restocked is the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black. It is by far the easiest liner I’ve used with the longest staying power. So I would defiantly recommend trying it out. My all time favourite Mascara is the Covergirl Lashblast Volume, For the longest time I had trouble with finding mascaras that didn’t transfer onto my eye lid without being waterproof. However this has been the best mascara that I’ve found to do the job and it’s so affordable. Once I have finished with my eyes I move onto my eyebrows. Lately I have been enjoying the ChiChi Brow Pomade, It’s affordable and is great for carving out the shape of my eyebrows.

This has to be one of my favourite parts of my makeup, It’s highlight and bronzing. I don’t go to intense on either of these products however I do believe it gives the dimensions needed in every make up look. So my holy grail bronzer (which I sometimes use to contour with too) is the Hoola Bronzer by Benefit. I have been using this product for a few years now and I have never changed, it’s the perfect shade for my skin tone. I could rave about it all day! Which brings me to my next favourite, which is my Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop. I have been using this highlighter for the past 4 months and I’m obsessed with it, previously I was using their highlighter in Opal which is also a great product that I will be repurchasing. These highlighters are pricey however they last SO LONG, I mean look at mine, it’s barely made a dent and I am frequent user of my highlighters. So it’s defiantly worth your money in my opinion.

To finish off the look I add a pinky nude to my lips, this step is completely optional as some days I do choose to just chuck on lip balm instead. The 2 lip colours I always find myself leaning towards is my MAC Lip Liner in Whirl (the packaging was a limited edition from their Brooke Candy line) as well as the Kylie Lip Kit in Candy K. These lip colours look great together or seperate, they also have the versatility of dressing up or down a specific look.

This concludes my everyday go to products and how/why I apply them. Keep an eye out as I will be posting more beauty related posts in the near future – Happy reading!!
